The universe of ‘Chainsaw Man‘ is populated by both Humans and Devils, yet these two races can breed to create two distinct creatures: Fiends and Devil Hybrids. The distinction between the two is frequently hazy because of their similarities and the rarity of hybrids.
While Fiends and Devil Hybrids have certain things in common, there are also significant variances that set them apart from one another and even from the original Devils that created them.

What Are Fiends And Devils?
In the universe of Chainsaw Man, devils or demons are mythical beings that are created in hell and feed off of people’s anxieties. Every devil has distinctive abilities, and in most cases, their names correspond to their abilities. In ‘Chainsaw Man,‘ every devil is essentially indestructible. They are reborn in hell if they pass away in the world of humans. A devil is then reincarnated in the world of humans if it is killed in hell.
Devils that needed a human corpse to survive are known as fiends. Normally, this results in the total loss of human consciousness, however, it is occasionally also possible to share control of the body. But that’s a pretty unusual circumstance.
The fiends, sometimes known as Devilman, have some of their demonic traits on display but otherwise resemble average people. For instance, Power, the Blood Fiend, is depicted in this image and may be identified by her horns. Nevertheless, a fiend’s potency is diminished in this form, unlike regular or primal devils. Even a deal with another person is impossible for them.
Difference Between Devils And Fiends In Chainsaw Man?
Devils and Fiends are generally confused about. The major difference between devils and fiends is their appearance. Devils do not maintain a proper human appearance while fiends can maintain a human appearance and change into their devil form accordingly.
Devils are superhuman beings with special skills, such as the Future Devil, who can see into the future.
A Devil’s power depends on how much terror their name inspires; humans can engage in contracts with them to summon their abilities. A Devil turns into a Fiend when they take over a human corpse’s body. They cannot enter into agreements with humans or Devils because they are Fiends.
While the Devil’s personality typically retains control, certain Fiends, like Aki did after becoming a Gun Fiend, keep more of their host’s intellect. Fiends can employ their Devil’s abilities but aren’t quite as powerful as their original forms, therefore it’s sometimes seen as a last resort for survival. They are also substantially stronger than humans. The fiends are powerful but they are not as powerful as devils.
The Devils and Fiends in ‘Chainsaw Man‘ are pretty similar to each other but at the same time are also very different.
