3) Gyomei Himejima
Gyomei is the stone Hashira. He is also the strongest of the current nine Hashira. He is an extremely caring yet powerful man. Gyomei was killed when he was fighting Kokushibo and Muzan. Gyomei used to take care of kids in an orphanage. However, they died when someone let a demon inside. The people of the village believe that person to be Gyomei, but he did not let the demon in. The thing that makes his death tragic is that when he was dying, he saw the children from his orphanage. They apologized for not believing him and being the reason that he was imprisoned. This makes it one of the most tragic deaths in ‘Demon Slayer’.
2) Mitsuri KanrojiÂ
Mitsuri was an exceptionally powerful girl, even before she joined the corps. Despite being one of the strongest demon slayers, all Mitsuri wanted was for someone to love her for herself. She thought that she couldn’t find it, but Obanai Iguro loved her. She figured out her feelings when she was about to die. After she fought Muzan, she was dying. All she could think about at the time was that she hoped that Obanai and her could be together in their next life. This makes it one of the most tragic deaths in ‘Demon Slayer’.
1) RengokuÂ
Rengoku’s death was the first major death in the series. He was killed by Akaza during the Mugen train arc. Rengoku inspired many people in his life and his last words to Tanjiro helped him master the Hinokami Kagura. Rengoku died with a smile on his face and was happy to be reunited with his deceased mother. His death made everyone sad and even made Inosuke and Rengoku’s crow cry with grief. This makes it one of the most tragic deaths in ‘Demon Slayer’.
