‘Demon Slayer’ is one of the most popular anime of all time. The anime is currently on its third season and fans are already waiting for the next seasons. Who Is Tamayo?
Tamayo is one of the two demons in ‘Demon Slayer’ who managed to break out of Kibutsuji Muzan’s control. The other one is Kamado Nezuko. She is also the oldest demon after the demon king himself. Most people believe that it is Kokushibo, but Tamayo was already a demon when Muzan met Yoriichi. She was of course turned into a demon by Muzan himself.
Appearance-wise, she has long brown hair that she usually wears in a bun and gentle eyes that have a lavender hue. She is also quite small, height-wise, but she is very intelligent. Personality-wise, she is very gentle and caring. In addition to that, she is highly intelligent. She spent much of her demon life researching demons and how a human turns into a demon. Due to this, she is very knowledgeable and is a very strong ally for the demon slayers. Even the Ubuyashiki family is aware of her existence and considers her their ally.
Why Does She Hate Muzan? How Did She Escape His Control?
Tamayo of course used to be a human before she was turned into a demon. She was a very sweet and dedicated housewife and loved her life. However, she was ill with an ailment and Muzan promised her a cure. He lied to her and turned her into a demon. After she was turned into a demon, she lost all of her humanity and went on a killing rampage. In addition to killing her family, she killed innocents as well. She blamed Muzan for this and tried to kill him once but failed. It was after Muzan battled Yoriichi that she once again got the courage to go against the demon king.
After Yoriichi’s battle with Muzan, he spared Tamayo’s life. Yoriichi did it because he understood that he also hated Muzan. After this, she fled and spent her time studying demons and their biology. After studying for 200 years, she managed to modify her body to escape Muzan’s control. She also escaped the curse where no demon can utter Muzan’s name. This is why Tamayo hates Kibutsuji Muzan and how she escaped his control.
