‘Naruto’ is known for having some of the best characters and character growth in anime history. The anime is well known for the antagonists or the negative characters having an epiphany and changing their evil ways. Two of the most popular and well-loved characters in the series are Jiraiya and Tsunade both of whom are a part of the legendary Sannin.
It was evident from the anime that something was going on between the two of them that was a little more than friendship. This makes many new fans curious about what it was and if Jiraiya and Tsunade ever got married.

Who Are Jiraiya And Tsunade?
Jiraiya is one of the three Sannin. Sannin means three ninjas and these three ninjas were the strongest team of Konoha and were feared by other nations as well. Jiraiya was the teacher of both Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki, Naruto’s parents. Although it seems that Jiraiya was just a pervert and childish person, he was much more than that. Jiraiya was exceptionally powerful and was learned in the art of Senjutsu. He also prioritized Konoha before anything and that became evident when he died trying to save Konoha from Pain.
Tsunade Senju is Hashirama Senju’s granddaughter. She was very loved by her grandfather and was ultimately spoiled by him as well. Like Jiraiya, Tsunade is also one of the Sannin and is very powerful. She has the strength of the hundred healing mark, which helps her to gain immeasurable strength when activated. She can also heal some of the most fatal wounds as she can summon Katsuyu. Tsunade seems to be mean and has a short temper, but she is very protective of the ones she loves.
Did Tsunade And Jiraiya Get Married?
Jiraiya and Tsunade never became romantic with each other which means that they never got married to each other. Tsunade and Jiraiya were part of the same team ever since they were young. Their trio was completed with Orochimaru and the three of them became strong together. Jiraiya had an immediate crush on Tsunade but it seemed like Tsunade didn’t return the sentiment. Jiraiya always used to tease Tsunade over various things and it caused the two to butt heads multiple times.
When they grew up, Jiraiya began teasing Tsunade about them getting together. It was played off as a joke by Tsunade and she didn’t seem to return the feelings. After some time, she sent Jiraiya to collect information about Pain to protect the village. However, it seemed like she didn’t want to send him. Fans speculate that Tsunade liked him and didn’t want to put him in danger. However, it was never confirmed in the anime.
