What Is Scott Pilgrim About?
‘Scott Pilgrim’ is originally a series of graphic novels that were written by Bryan Lee O’Malley. The graphic novels are very interesting and fun to read. Many fans want the novels to be made into a series. The graphic novels were adapted into a movie called ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’. The very famous and creative director, Edgar Wright adapted the series into a movie.
The graphic novels follow the main character Scott, who is a bassist and is 22 years old. The movie followed his story. In the movie, Scott is 22 and he has never had a problem with getting girlfriends. On the contrary, he has troubles with getting rid of the girls when he’s done. His life changes when he starts dating Ramona Flowers. The thing with Ramona is that she has many ex-boyfriends. Most of which will stop at nothing to eliminate Scott from her life. Edgar Wright announced the making of the anime a few days prior. Whilst he has confirmed the anime, he didn’t announce the release date. The series will most likely start airing in 2024 but there are some chances that it might air in late 2023. The plot of the anime will not completely follow the movie.
‘Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’ did not adapt everything according to the graphic novels. The movie dropped many scenes and plot lines. Chances are that the anime will pick all of those up and explore the plot further. Edgar Wright mentioned that the anime won’t just expand but the universe. He said to find out about the series, one will have to watch it.
The cast of ‘Scott Pilgrim’ will have the same cast as its movie. It will have Michael Cara as Scott, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers. It has some very popular actors featuring in it like Chris Evans who will play Lucas Lee and Brie Larson as Envy Adams. Many talented actors will feature in the anime. Science SARU, the same studio that animated ‘Devilman Crybaby’ will animate this. That is all that is known about the anime so far.
