Top 5 Absolute Worst ‘Dragon Ball’ Arcs In History Of The Series

‘Dragon Ball’ is known for its amazing characters, wonderful characters, and plot. If you combine all of these aspects, one gets one of the most amazing story arcs in all of anime history. As good as ‘Dragon Ball’ arcs are, there are many arcs that have not been up to the fans’ expectations.

Whilst these arcs are not bad per se, they are most definitely not as good as the other arcs. Fans are curious about what the top five worst arcs are in the entire ‘Dragon Ball’ series.

5) Garlic Jr. Saga

This particular saga is not as good because it is a filler arc. This arc is in the ‘Dragon Ball Z’ anime and is edged between the Frieza arc and Future Trunks arc. This arc seemed very forced and according to fans, it was. After the Frieza arc, the anime caught up to the manga, and to let the manga move forwards, this arc was introduced.

4) Black Star Saga

Speaking of arcs that weren’t mentioned in the manga, Black star Saga is another one on this list. This was one of the starting arcs in ‘Dragon Ball GT’ and the series itself wasn’t exceptional, but this arc is a little more unimpressive. The constant shining of Pan makes it extremely difficult for one to get through this arc and this is why it is one of the top five worst arcs in ‘Dragon Ball’

3) Saiyanman Arc

This arc is not bad per se, but it does not fit in the genre and other arcs of the series. The arc follows Gohan through his school life and his identity crisis and his adopting a persona called Saiyanman. This arc is more slice of life than action and it disappointed many fans of the series.

2) Super 17 Arc

‘Dragon Ball GT’ is not liked by many hardcore fans of the entire ‘Dragon Ball’ series. In Super 17 Arc, Android 17 is resurrected but his character design is extremely bad. In addition to bad design, there are some plot holes in the backstory and the overall plot. This makes it one of the top five worst arcs in ‘Dragon Ball’.

1) Red Ribbon Army Saga

There is nothing overtly negative about this saga, but for some reason, most fans of the series dislike the series. Bluntly speaking, this arc is very unimpressive and the storyline drags on. The characters are not very impressive either. The one good thing about the arc is that it is completely action-packed but overall, the arc has nothing noteworthy about it. This makes it one of the top five worst arcs.
