The action shonen series called ‘The Seven Deadly Sins‘ is based on a band of the same name. The group is made up of residents of the Kingdom of Britannia who are extremely powerful. They are distinguished from the other characters in the series by their extraordinary qualities, which are well-known.
The group accumulated a lot of experience over time, which helped them grow stronger. Seven people make up the group: Escanor, Meliodas, Ban, King, Gowther, Merlin, and Diane. 5) King
Harlequin or King, is the sin of sloth. He is not only the king of fairies. He is also the most influential and the most powerful fairy king.
He has the ability to disaster. The skill gives King complete dominion over the fairy King’s forest. In addition to controlling the forest, King can also control matter at a molecular level. This ability makes him especially dangerous as he can cause the simplest of wounds to grow into something fatal. This makes him one of the strongest sins.
4) Merlin
Merlin is the sin of gluttony. She is also Belialuin’s daughter and is the strongest mage in Brittania. She has mastered numerous spells that are quite useful in defeating strong opponents. Due to her incredible magic, she was coveted by both the Demon King and the Supreme Deity to join their sides in the holy war.
Merlin is almost invincible in battles due to her sheer brilliance and wisdom in the Seven Deadly Sins. Infinity is her most vital skill as it allows her to increase the duration of any of her spells to infinity. She is considered a marvel as her abilities far surpass those of her peers.
3) Ban
Ban is Meliodas’s closest companion and in certain ways, his best friend as well. He is the sin of greed and is immortal due to his drinking from the fountain of youth which was forbidden. This drink which caused immortality however helped survive the harsh conditions of purgatory.
Amongst the seven deadly sins, he easily has the strongest resilience and tolerance. Ban possesses an ability that suits the sin of greed quite well. He has an ability called snatch which allows him to snatch the strength from his opponents and renders them weak. This ability can however be used to a certain extent and overusing it can put a strain on Ban’s body.
2) Escanor
Escanor, the most liked character in the entire show is the sin of pride. At first glance, it is unclear why he is the sin of pride; it only becomes clear when Escanor shows his combat abilities. After Meliodas’s powers got stolen, he was considered the strongest character in the entire series.
Escanor possesses an ability, Sunshine strength, which allows him to grow strong during the day and weaken during the night. At noon, when the sun is at its highest, Escanor became almost invincible. This moment of immense strength however was fleeting. Despite the limitation of his power, Escanor is still considered the second strongest of the Seven Deadly Sins.
1) Meliodas
Meliodas, our protagonist is the sin o wrath. He was the first character to be introduced in the show and despite his outward appearance which is considered cute by some fans, is the strongest of The Seven Deadly Sins. In the start itself, Meliodas was far stronger than his peers.
By the end, he was heaps and bounds ahead of his peers. He has incredible fighting skills which were displayed on numerous occasions. He also has immense power due to him being the Demon King’s son. He has fought many strong enemies, but his most difficult challenge was fighting his father, a battle he won.
