Whenever we talk about the iconic antagonist organization of all time, hands down “Akatsuki” will chart up high on every Otaku’s list. Kishimoto is known for creating some iconic villains which made Akatsuki even more intimidating. An organization with the strongest shinobi from the entire shinobi world, who went rogue, makes it all the more frightful. From Konan to Itachi, every combat that was ever fought with the members of the organization is printed in our memories.
All the members of the Akatsuki were governed with fearsome appearances, beast-like strength, distinctive jutsu, and strong determination to achieve their goals and seek vengeance. One of the common and integral powers of the Akatsuki is the immortality of several of its members. These characters are accepted to be godlike, and they have been a common point of discussion among ‘Naruto‘ fans for over a decade now. Hidan
Often referred to as the immortal duo along with his partner Kakuzu, Hidan is a worshipper of the Jashin cult and has an unparalleled capacity to heal himself from any wound, internally as well as externally.
This capacity comes from his blood which has been offered to Jashin, the god he worshipped fervently. Hidan accepts that all living things are made to endure, and he does everything in his control to incur torment upon his foes.
As his cult follows the practice of offering blood to Jashin, Hidan never thinks twice before laying a death blow. With a triple-bladed scythe, Hidan remains one of the most formidable Akatsuki members that was strong enough to crush numerous shinobi in a single blow.
Kakuzu
Kakuzu, a rogue shinobi from Takigakure, popularly known as the village hidden in the waterfall has a special capacity to take the hearts of other ninjas, which permits him to amplify his life uncertainly. He is considered to be a treasure of Akatsuki and is feared by the entire shinobi world.
Kakuzu had been living for centuries and had collected the hearts of incalculable capable ninjas, which makes him impressive among all. His technique of survival is based on the fact that he could implant up to five beating hearts into his body at once, in the form of a masked animal and to defeat him all five hearts had to be destroyed.
It might sound easy but mind you, his calculative strategies and usage of the powerful jutsu like the Earth Grudge Fear technique, took even stronger opponents like Kakashi to sweat out.

Orochimaru
If someone is known to cheat death and regenerate into a new body, just like a snake, is Orochimaru. He is an antagonist who was introduced at the beginning of the series and remained formidable throughout. Oruchimaru‘s fascinated to know about every jutsu and spent years decoding the secret of achieving immortality.
From stealing human bodies to transferring his consciousness to Kabuto, when Sasuke ended his human body, his hunger for power remained unmatched throughout. Orochimaru’s enormous power combined with his ability to regenerate and his Immortality Jutsu makes him nearly impossible to die, and remains relevant in ‘Boruto: The Next Generation‘.
Though he did have character development and did change for the good, the damage he incurred to the Hidden Leaf village and killing his Sensei, Hiruzen Sarutobi, then third Hokage, remains irreplaceable.
