    Yes, the American animator and endless dreamer Walt Disney holds the record for winning most individual Oscars. A true pioneer in the field of animation, Walt Disney is the man who drew Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and other timeless cartoons that still amuse to no end.

    Born to Elias and Flora Disney, he moved to California in the early 1920s and set up the Disney Brothers Studio with his brother Roy. Under his leadership, the studio made technically ambitious movies with fantastic storytelling, such as ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,’ ‘Pinocchio,’ ‘Fantasia,’ ‘Cinderella,’ ‘Sleeping Beauty,’ and ‘Mary Poppins.’

    Walt Disney won his first competitive Oscar during the 5th Academy Awards in 1932. He won the Academy Award for Best Short Subject (Cartoon) for the film ‘Flowers And Trees.’ He was posthumously awarded his final Academy Award in 1969 for ‘Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day.’
