Kate Tomas On Not Getting Recognition For Her Career
Although Kate Tomas has been working with celebrities for quite some time, she did not get any recognition until her relationship with Andrew Garfield. And she finds this frustrating. Tomas is an author, podcast host and self-described ‘spiritual mentor’. However, the public knows her as Garfield’s “witch” girlfriend.
“It’s frustrating that no matter how accomplished or impactful a woman is, it’s always going to be more interesting if they are in a relationship with a man,” Tomas told The Sunday Times. “I don’t want to sit under anybody’s shadow.” Tomas does not have good things to say about the paparazzi either. She said, “They will take maybe 150 pictures, then they choose the four where you look worst.”

Kate Tomas Addresses The Misogyny She Faced
In the interview, Tomas also talked about the criticism she is facing about her looks. She expressed her frustration about the “misogynistic nature” of the interest in her as Garfield’s girlfriend, which manifests in “criticism of how a woman looks” and “what [she] does for work.”
Tomas revealed that she has a ‘f— politeness’ tattoo to reject the notion that women should “please others over their own safety”. However, the tabloids have used this to question her personality. They have reportedly been inquiring about her personality from Tomas’ neighbors. But Tomas says that she does not care about their thoughts.
