Angelina Jolie is known for her penchant for tattoos and she has introduced a new one to her charming collection of inks. The actress was spotted showing her freshly inked wrist tattoo during the opening night of ‘The Outsiders’ on Broadway, a production she’s producing. The 48-year-old actress was accompanied by her youngest daughter, 15-year-old Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, on the red carpet.
The script of her newly inked tattoo reads “Stay Gold,” a line from S.E. Hinton’s book ‘The Outsiders’ — which is also what the said Broadway show is based on. In fact, a song in the production also has the same title. Jolie is collaborating on the project with her daughter Vivienne.
Jolie opened up about her daughter’s assistance in the project during a previous interview, stating that Vivienne is a “tough assistant” who ensures everything runs smoothly. “She’ll correct me. She’ll say, ‘Didn’t you read the memo? We have to do this. We have to go through this,’” Jolie said of her daughter during the interview at an event in New York earlier this month.
Jolie further added that her daughter Vivienne, whom she shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt, takes her work “very, very seriously.”

Many Of Angelina Jolie’s ‘The Outsiders’ Colleagues Share The “Stay Gold” Tattoo With Her
As for Jolie’s tattoos, one of her colleagues on ‘The Outsiders‘, Justin Levine, revealed on April 14 through his social media that he also got a matching “Stay Gold” tattoo with Jolie. Several other members of the creative team, including director Danya Taymor, also got similar tattoos from artist Mark Mahoney, a friend of Jolie’s.
The “stay gold” ethos, however, wasn’t just limited to her ink. It extended to Jolie’s attire, a golden Chloé x Atelier Jolie dress, complemented by a vintage rust-colored cape. The actress accessorized it with mixed metal earrings, with her honey-blonde hair styled in loose waves.
Atelier Jolie also dressed some cast members of ‘The Outsiders‘, to highlight its focus on sustainability by using vintage materials and collaborating with local artists and designers.
