The acclaimed actor recently had a heartfelt conversation with Dax Shepard on his podcast ‘Armchair Expert’. While the ‘Hangover’ star was mostly expressing his gratitude toward daughter Lea’s existence there was one statement that turned X into a frenzy. The actor revealed that he initially struggled to connect with his daughter. Describing the first eight months of becoming a father as a complicated period.
The single father started by confessing that he never understood when his parents said, “I would die in a second for my kid.” He admitted “The first eight months – I don’t even know if I really love the kid. It’s dope. It’s cool. I’m watching this thing morph.” His honesty on the matter was not taken with the intention he might’ve been trying to deliver.

Twitter’s Reaction To Cooper’s Honest Confession
Following the ‘American Sniper’ star’s revelation, X/Twitter once again became an opinions chart. While some users applauded the actor for his honesty, others accused him of being a “horrible father.” Comments ranged from accusations of narcissism to reflections on societal pressures around parental love.
One user stated, “Of course he don’t. He would not say something like this in public. He just don’t care. Horrible person. On the other hand.” Another wrote, “Spoken like a true narcissist..” There is no way to escape the fury of internet.
