Cameron Diaz is coming out of retirement to feature in the forthcoming flick ‘Back in Action. After taking a break from performing eight years ago and finally retiring in 2018, the actress will feature in a new action-comedy alongside Jamie Foxx.
The American actress, author, and former model has received numerous honors. It includes a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On Twitter this morning, Foxx teased the new Netflix project and posted an audio clip of a phone chat Diaz.
Cameron Diaz To Make A Comeback With Netflix’s ‘Back In Action’
In light of her recent absence from the big screen, Jamie Foxx enlisted NFL legend Tom Brady, whom he referred to as “the GOAT,” to give the celebrity some advice on resuming her career after a hiatus.
Diaz admitted in the video that she is “excited” yet “anxious” about her comeback to acting after announcing her official retirement from the big screen. Brady, who was asked on the line to provide “a few pointers on how to un-retire,” swiftly joined the actors in their talk.
Although the narrative is yet unknown, Seth Gordon is directing the film from a script he co-wrote with Brendan O’Brien. Beau Bauman is producing ‘Back In Action‘ alongside Gordon. Executive producers include Jamie Foxx, Datari Turner, O’Brien, and Mark McNair.
Is Tom Brady Is Part Of ‘Back in Action‘?
Tom Brady, who announced his retirement after 22 seasons in February, famously reversed his decision a little more than a month later. Brady is not an official member of ‘Back in Action‘, despite his participation in the announcement on Twitter.
“Cameron I hope you aren’t mad I recorded this, but no turning back now. Had to call in the GOAT to bring back another GOAT,” Foxx said in the caption that included the audio clip. @CameronDiaz and I are BACK IN ACTION – our new movie with @NetflixFilm. Production starting later this year!!”
It’s unclear whether the actress will return to acting permanently following ‘Back in Action’. Foxx was seen on the big screen last in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘.
