Coldplay’s lead vocalist Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson has been dating for a while though the stars have kept their relationship under wraps since they are together. The couple was most recently spotted having a calm vacation in Mexico.
The relationship follows Martin’s divorce from ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow who is also great friends with Dakota Johnson. While the duo continued to have a stable relationship, Martin reportedly proposed to actress Dakota Johnson, and the couple is said to be enjoying their commitment before diving into wedding plans.

Chris Martin Has Finally Proposed To Dakota Johnson
According to a source, Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have been together since 2017 and briefly split in 2019. The duo is said to be deeply in love and have therefore decided to get engaged. Source said the couple has been happy with each other and their final step to get engaged was inevitable.
The Mirror reported that Chris Martin proposed to Dakota “a while ago,” and while they are not in a rush to plan the wedding, they are happy about making their commitment official. Johnson was in 2020 spotted wearing a sizable emerald ring on her left ring finger, sparking engagement rumors. However, it is now that the couple has decided to take the next step.
Martin’s ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow has reportedly given her approval to the couple’s decision to tie the knot. In October, Paltrow mentioned in an interview that she is “good friends” with Dakota Johnson and described her as “an adorable, wonderful person.”

Gwyneth Paltrow Likes Dakota Johnson And Has Approved Her Engagement With Martin
Though the couple has always kept their relationship relatively private, Johnson recently expressed her deep affection for Martin and Paltrow’s children, Apple and Moses. During an interview with Bustle , she said, “I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart,” she said of Martin’s children.
In the same interview, the 34-year-old actress revealed her openness to having children of her own. “I’ve gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything that life has to offer,” the ‘50 Shades of Grey‘ actress explained.
“And especially being a woman, I’m like, ‘What a magical f–king thing to do. What a crazy, magical, wild experience.’ If that’s meant to happen for me, I’m totally down for it,” she added.
Chris Martin was married to Gwyneth Paltrow for 11 years before their “conscious uncoupling” in 2014. Now, with news of his engagement to Dakota, it seems the Coldplay frontman is ready to start a new chapter in his personal life.
