Now after 20 years, Will Ferrell joined his co-star Applegate who has retired from acting and ‘Sopranos’ star Jamie-Lynn Sigler in their podcast. And it was nothing short of a mini-cast reunion. The latest episode of ‘MeSsy’ podcast is where the three talk about the film and reminisce on some great moments spent during shooting.

Will Ferrell And Christina Applegate Come Together After 20 Years
It’s been 20 years since ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy’. And for Will Ferrell And Christina Applegate it was a mini cast reunion on the ‘MeSsy’ podcast. The two co-stars along with Jamie-Lynn Sigler talk about the time shooting the film and share some hilarious incidents.
When talking about improvisation, Ferrell said, “A lot of that stuff, Christina and I going back and forth insulting each other, some of that was scripted, but so much of that was like, ‘Just keep going!’ Adam just wouldn’t yell cut, so you just had to keep going.” He added, “At first it feels like a burden, but then it unlocks a part of your brain to where now you’re going into a whole other area that you didn’t even know.”
Applegate added, “When he wouldn’t cut, my hands would get sweaty. I was like, ‘No, I can’t, please cut.’ Sometimes he would just yell out lines.” She recalled, “Remember he would yell out the most bizarre s—? I think, and I’m not taking this away from you, I think ‘pirate hooker’ was something Adam yelled out, but maybe it was something you guys had written down.” Applegate explained, “In the middle of the scene, he was just like, ‘Call her a pirate hooker!’ Just bizarre stuff!”

Will Ferrell Recalls Difficulty Shooting Because He Was Laughing So Hard
We can understand how much fun the actors had while filming the 2004 movie. As Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate recalled in the podcast, there were times the actors could not film properly because they were too busy laughing. Ferrell recalled one such scene from when his character Ron Burgundy and Applegate’s character Veronica Corningstone went on a date.
“When we’re on our date and we’re in the car, looking out, and I’m describing that San Diego, discovered by the Germans, means ‘a whale’s vagina,’” Ferrell recalled. “I had tears, I’m laughing so hard because I’m like this is the most absurd,” Ferrell remembered. “How are we getting able to do this? I couldn’t get through the scene,” he said.
