Drake Responds To His Private Jet Criticism
Drake was criticized earlier for taking a 14-minute long private jet flight. Many users on social media expressed their anger over such a display of wealth which directly impacts the environment. The 35-year-old pop star has responded to the backlash he has been facing.
The ‘Hotline Bling‘ singer took to Instagram to clarify. He wrote: “This is just them moving planes to whatever airport they are being stored at for anyone who was interested in the logistics. Nobody takes that flight” The singer clarified commenting on a post about the controversy from the Instagram account of Real Toronto News.
Last week, the Twitter handle @CelebJets, which tracks celebrities’ flights, tweeted that Drake’s jet had gone from Toronto to Hamilton in Canada. Both cities are in the state of Ontario. The journey covers only 38 miles and takes just 14 minutes. According to the tweet, the flight used 1,522 liters of fuel and was responsible for four tonnes of CO2 emissions.
