Drake has been the top recipient of the award with 29 wins in his bag. However, Taylor Swift is a contender to the Canadian rapper. The singer may create a BillBoard history by becoming the “most decorated artist” at the music’s highest honorary night.
Taylor Swift May Reclaim Her Title Tonight
The Swifties may witness a repetition of the history at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The Folklore singer is nominated for Top Country Album for the re-recordings of Fearless(Taylor’s Version) and Red(Taylor’s Version). She is also nominated in the category of Top Artist. Swift has claimed the BBMAs 25 times.
However, in 2019, Drake partook Taylor by winning 12 awards in a single night. God’s Plan artist is nominated for his Platinum album Certified Lover Boy. He is nominated for 11 categories including the Top Billboard 200 artist, Top Hot 100 artist, Top Artist, and Top Male Artist.
Both the artists are heading for a competition for the coveted trophy. But, they have mutual respect and admiration for each other. Recently, Drake posted a picture of the country-music artist captioning, “They too soft to understand the meaning of hard work.” Whatever the results are, Swifties are picturing a collaboration already!
