Here’s Why Bella Hadid Is Taking A Break From Her Successful Modelling Career

Supermodel Bella Hadid recently opened up about her modelling career and wanting a break from the life that comes with it. As someone who has been incredibly successful in her field, Hadid has often been lauded as one of the best models of the generation.

She has worked and walked for major brands and is now all set to release her own brand of perfume. Speaking to Allure about taking a break from her modelling career, Hadid talked about moving back to Texas for a calmer while and detailed her new line of perfume.

Bella Hadid has been out of the spotlight for a while now. Her little presence in the social eye has mostly been through her social media, where she creates awareness about the Israel-Palestine war — which is also the reason many brands decided to drop her as their brand ambassador. Bella, however, had voiced her views on the matter, even adding that her career matters less to her as compared to her homeland and that she is willing to risk her career for it.

Talking to Allure recently, Bella said, “After 10 years of modeling, I realized I was putting so much energy and love and effort into something that, in the long run, wasn’t necessarily giving it back to me.”

She took a break from modeling a year ago in order to prioritize her physical and emotional well-being. She also moved to Texas and began a brand-new chapter in her relationship with her horseman partner, Adan Banuelos, whom she refers to in the interview as “my partner” and “an incredible older businessman”

Bella also added that she’s doing so much better now, because of the break from her career and focus on her well-being, especially after getting diagnosed with Lyme disease.

“For the first time now, I’m not putting on a fake face. If I don’t feel good, I won’t go. If I don’t feel good, I take time for myself. And I’ve never had the opportunity to do that or say that before,” Hadid said. “Now when anybody sees me in pictures and they say, I look happy, I genuinely am. I am feeling better; my bad days now were my old good days.”

As of now she’s all set to launch Orabella, her line of fragrance, pronounced as “aura-bella,” a combination of her first name and the Arabic word for “iron ore”

According to Allure, Bella Hadid is to launch her new fragrance on Thursday, May 2. The perfume is composed of a blend of plant oils, such as camellia, jojoba, shea, olive, and sweet almond, over a glycerine base.

Talking about how her family influenced her to go ahead with her new business, Hadid said, “Growing up in an Arab family, perfume and scents were almost a personality trait—I can still remember the way my grandparents smelled when they walked into a room. My uncle Mahmoud was making his own essential oils in the 70s—woody, tobacco-smelling scents.”

It also is sort of a passion project and not a money grab brand. “It wasn’t something where somebody came to me and said, ‘We want to start a business with you,” Hadid said. “It was something I was already extremely passionate about, and I didn’t want to keep it for myself anymore,” she added.

Each ‘Ôrəbella’ case contains a mixed composition with essential oils and a golden layer of plant oils floating over a glycerin foundation. Each fragrance is put into a colored glass bottle that is cut to resemble a gem. The packaging is much different than most fragrances in the market and promises to be a good buy at $35, which is the starting price.
