Elvis Presley’s Private Jet Auctioned
The aircraft was a 1962 Lockheed 1329 JetStar and has been sold for $260,000. The jet had been stored in a desert for nearly 40 years since it was last owned. It was parked at the Roswell International Air Center in New Mexico and has now been sold for $260,000. It was last owned by businessman Jim Gagliardi.
On the musician’s 88th birthday which was on 8th January, his private jet finally found another home. The event took place at the Mecum Kissimmee Collector Car auction in Florida. Elvis’s wife Priscilla Presley was also present at the event. She spoke about her husband’s love for collecting cars and planes.

Details Of The Private Jet
As mentioned in the auction site, Mecum, Elvis originally purchased the jet for $840,000 back in 1976. From the outside, the plane is not in a great condition anymore. However, from the inside, a retro glimpse is seen. The seats are covered in red velvet couches and the passenger seats are reclining.
The plane also has a 60s vibe to it, complete with gold-finished hardware and window shades. It also has an entertainment center, a VCR player, and a cassette player. The jet consists of a vanity and a meal prep area that also includes a beverage dispenser.
