In one such instance, Lily Rose-Depp was asked about Johnny Depp’s infamous trial during an Elle interview. During the interview, she said, “When it’s something that’s so private and so personal that all of a sudden becomes not so personal… I feel really entitled to my secret garden of thoughts.”
Lily continued, “I also think that I’m not here to answer for anybody, and I feel like for a lot of my career, people have really wanted to define me by the men in my life, whether that’s my family members or my boyfriends, whatever. And I’m really ready to be defined for the things that I put out there.”

Johnny Depp Did Not Care About Hollywood’s Boycott During His Trial
Johnny Depp is resurrecting his career and cleaning up his tainted image post-Amber Heard’s trial. After the trial, he started shooting for Maïween’s period drama titled ‘Jeanne du Barry.’ The film recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it received a seven-minute standing ovation. Drop plays Louis XV in the film, who falls in love with Madame Jeanne du Barry, who is looked down upon due to her social standing.
During the press conference after the premiere, Johnny Depp addressed the Hollywood boycott. He said, “Did I feel boycotted by Hollywood? You’d have to not have a pulse to feel like, ‘No. None of this is happening. It’s a weird joke.’ “
The actor continued, “When you’re asked to resign from a film you’re doing because of something that is merely a function of vowels and consonants floating in the air, yes, you feel boycotted.”
Johnny Depp added, “I don’t feel boycotted by Hollywood because I don’t think about Hollywood. It’s a strange, funny time where everybody would love to be able to be themselves, but they can’t. They must fall in line with the person in front of them. If you want to live that life, I wish you the best.”
