Taylor Swift just created history with her wins at the 2024 VMAs, and the singer made sure to let fans in on how her beau Travis Kelce has been the most supporting factor of her career by giving him a sweet shoutout during her acceptance speech.
Although Kelce wasn’t present to watch her grab the awards, the Chiefs tight end also gave her a shoutout during his podcast. Here’s what Swift had to say about Kelce’s support in her career.
Taylor Swift Thanks Travis Kelce For His Support
While Taylor Swift won the biggest award for her song ‘Fortnight‘ in collaboration with Post Malone at the VMAs, the pop star also gave a sweet nod to her boyfriend Travis Kelce. Swift thanked him for his support while making the music video.
“Something that I’ll always remember is when I finished a take and I’d say ‘cut,’ and we’d be done with that take, I would always hear someone cheering ‘Woo!’ from across the studio where we were shooting it,” she said on stage. “That one person was my boyfriend Travis.”
She added, “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic, so I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that.”
Swift not only won seven awards during the award show, but she also made history by becoming the first artist to win ‘Video of the Year’ three times in a row and five times overall.
How Travis Kelce Cheered On For Taylor Swift At The VMAs
The Kansas City Chiefs player spoke with his brother and co-host Jason Kelce about Swift’s VMA nominations during the New Heights podcast on Wednesday. The two cheered on for Swift together.
“Hopefully, Taylor can walk away with a few! She’s nominated for about 10 of those things tonight. Hopefully, she can walk away with some Moonmen. Those are always one of the cooler trophies,” Travis said.
