“George R. R. Martin Is On His Way, Run!”: Emilia Clarke Recalls Her Hilarious Attempt To Break In To ‘Game Of Thrones’ Sets

‘Game Of Thrones’ is known for its brutal cliffhangers and aching surprises that no-one would expect coming. Thanks to writer George R.R.Martin, even the actors of the show are no exception. Mother Of DragonsEmilia Clarke recently revealed that even she, a pivotal figure in the story, was kept from the future happenings of the show. She wants her excited fans to get a sneak peek of the new season of but failed miserably.

The fantasy-adventure show has always been on the top of the charts with equivalent uphold among the audience. Emilia Clarke once tried to sneak in through the sets of GOT to show her fans the progress of the show but sadly she had to run from there. Here’s why.

Here’s What Happened When Emilia Clarke Tried To Sneak Into ‘Game Of Thrones’ Set

One may not imagine Emilia Clarke herself being unaware of what’s coming next on her very own acclaimed show ‘Game of Thrones‘. But that’s how high the walls around the story are when they are written by George R.R. Martin. Queen Daenerys Targaryen is loved by her fans, and she tried to give the love back when she once tried to give the fans an exclusive eye treat to what happens behind the doors.

Emilia Clarke, during an old interview with Omaze, revealed that all her efforts went in vain when she tried sneaking a camera to record a video of the sets of the last season on ‘Game of Thrones‘. “Closed set“, she said with a mischievous smile on her face, adding “Not for me,” as she implied that she certainly had some privileges as a part of the show.

However, to her dismay, she found the set’s door locked when she reached to sneak in. But actress didn’t lose hope in her secret mission. “It’s okay, we’ll go around the back,” she said. And she nearly succeeded as she managed to open the door to the “top secret set“, but she soon soon had run off from there — because it was secured by an alarm for the intruders.

As she described the experience, she said, “Okay, so let me level with you guys. The producers don’t really want me doing this. In fact, they don’t really know I’m doing this. They also don’t know, I swiped the key [to the set]. So, um, yeah, c’mon. Let’s go in. [Alarm rings] Okay go, go, go, go! Run, run, run […] We gotta go […] George R. R. Martin is like on his way. Run!”

Emilia Clarke Was Scared Of Losing Her Role In Game of Thrones

We all have seen how incredibly well-versed Emilia Clarke is with her role as the might queen Daenerys Targaryen in the series. But she once feared getting fired from her role. During an interview with Big Issue, the actress revealed that she was afraid that she wouldn’t be able to reprise her role on the show because of two brain aneurysms she had.

Her first injury happened in 2011 while filming the first two seasons of the show and another one a few years later. But she healed after her surgery and was back stronger than ever.

“When you have a brain injury, because it alters your sense of self on such a dramatic level, all of the insecurities you have going into the workplace quadruple overnight. The first fear we all had was: ‘Oh my God, am I going to get fired? Am I going to get fired because they think I’m not capable of completing the job?” she said.

She was also scared of suffering the incident on the set of GOT, but she was sure about not giving up. “Well, if I’m going to die, I better die on live TV,” she remembered thinking. While she did not die, her beloved character did meet a tragic end on the show before it concluded, marking the end of an era.
