Elon Musk is known for many things including his controversial opinions and behavior that often makes headlines. He is currently the talk of the town for supporting Donald Trump during the presidential elections and then getting mocked on ‘Saturday Night Live‘. While the Tesla CEO has recently slammed ‘SNL’, his own performance on the show is getting him into another controversy.
The mystery that began two months ago with Bowen Yang’s cryptic comments on Watch What Happens Live just got a whole lot juicier. During a game of ‘Truth or Kink’, Yang hinted that an unnamed ‘Saturday Night Live‘ host had made multiple cast members cry before a table read, setting off a wave of online speculation. And now, thanks to current SNL cast member Chloe Fineman, we have our answer — it’s none other than Elon Musk.
Chloe Fineman Reveals How Elon Musk Heartlessly Made Many On ‘SNL’ Cry
Chloe Fineman boldly took to TikTok, declaring that she was one of the cast members left in tears by the elusive host — tech mogul and serial SNL critic, Elon Musk. So the guy who has a problem getting along with sketch comedy apparently made Fineman cry last year when he hosted the show.
In a TikTok video she subsequently deleted, Fineman delved into the issue to talk about Musk’s recent grievances against the show. “OK, I just saw some news article about Elon Musk being like butt-hurt over SNL and his impression,” she said. “And I’m like, you’re clearly watching the show, like what are you talking about?”
Chloe Fineman deleted the video after it was up for a few hours. Luckily I saved it…in it she says Elon Musk did not like her sketch: “You made I, Chloe Fineman burst into tears because I stayed up late writing a sketch. I was so excited, I came in, I asked if you had any… https://t.co/y4BxNSab8j pic.twitter.com/p2RVHQMYuC

She stated that she saw “some articles and stuff” about the situation in an obvious nod to coverage after Yang’s appearance on Watch What Happens Live with his co-host Matt Rogers. “And I was like I’m not gonna say anything. But I’m like, no, if you’re gonna go on your platform [X] and be rude, guess what? You made I, Chloe Fineman burst into tears because I stayed up late writing a sketch. I was so excited, I came in, I asked if you had any questions and you stared at me like you were firing me from Tesla and were like, ‘It’s not funny.’”
But that wasn’t even the worst of it. Fineman also revealed that Musk flipped through her script without so much as a smirk. “I waited for you to be like, ‘Ha ha, jk.’ No, then you started pawing through my script, like flipping each page, being, like, ‘I didn’t laugh once, not one time.’”
Even though Musk had frosty feedback, the sketch made it onto the air and Fineman diplomatically admitted she actually enjoyed the final product. “I actually had a really good time and I thought you were really funny in it. But, you know. Have a little manners here…sir,” she said.
Elon Musk Reacts To Chloe Fineman’s Allegations
The sketch in question here was ‘The Oooli Show’, an oddball sketch in which Elon Musk played a bespectacled producer named Ragnarok opposite Fineman’s dotty Icelandic TV host. The Tiktok posted by Fineman was deleted within hours, though it had already gained traction on social media.
While the ‘SNL’ star did not comment on it, Elon Musk himself responded to the drama in his classic fashion — by posting on his platform X about it. He weighed in on the matter late Monday night, saying it wasn’t until Thursday that “ANY of the sketches generated laughs,” and admitted he was worried his appearance would be so unfunny it’d “make a crackhead sober!!”
Frankly, it was only on the Thursday before the Saturday that ANY of the sketches generated laughs. I was worried.

I was like damn my SNL appearance is going to be so fucking unfunny that it will make a crackhead sober!!
But then it worked out in the end 😮💨…

“I was like damn my SNL appearance is going to be so fucking unfunny that it will make a crackhead sober!! But then it worked out in the end,” the latter part of his tweet read.
With Fineman deleting the TikTok and Musk weighing in, it does seem that this ‘SNL‘ saga has only just begun. For the time being, however, we do know at least one cast member who cried through the Musk-hosted episode.
