Unlike few celebrities, Henry Cavill did not have a fruitful year with him losing two of his most iconic roles. After ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’ Cavill is back on his feet with another spy comedy ‘Argylle’, directed by Mattew Vaughn. The film features a stellar star cast including, Dua Lipa, Samuel L Jackson, John Cena, and Sam Rockwell.
Ever since Henry Cavill’s first look was dropped as the protagonist, fans have been disappointed with his character’s hideous hairstyle, ruining the actor’s complete look for the spy-thriller film.
Henry Cavill Breaks Silence Over His Butchered Hairstyle
Apart from his phenomenal acting skills and Greek god body sculpture, one of the best parts of Henry Cavill is his good looks. But Matthew Vaughn killed one of the best parts of Cavill, completely ruining his hairdo with a hideous, flat-top hairstyle in the upcoming spy film.
Henry Cavill finally addressed his character’s bizarre look and flat-top haircut in the latest interview with Entertainment Weekly. ‘The Witcher’ star revealed that his spy appearance was not his choice, instead it was Matthew Vaughn’s idea for Agent Argylle’s signature style. Surprisingly, Cavill completely adored and agreed with the look.
The Superman actor said, “That was actually Matthew’s pitch, his signature style. I wanted to have fun with it. Matthew said, Look, this guy’s going to have a particular look and you’ve got to trust me.” And I did! That’s the kind of thing I was looking for. I’m glad I did it.”

Henry Cavill Is Not A Star In His Upcoming Spy Flim ‘Argylle’
After Witcher, fans expected Cavill to helm the project, but the trailer of ‘Argylle’ reveals otherwise. The trailer reveals that Henry Cavill’s character Agent Argyle is not a real person. Instead, he is a hero of the spy novels written by Bryce Dallas Howard’s character.
It is not Henry Cavill, but Bryce Dallas who is the megamind behind Agent Argylle. The concept of an author becoming involved in a plot and bringing the character to life is something borrowed from films like ‘The Lost City’ and ‘Romancing the Stone’.
Also, it is unlikely for the film to be announced before its source material has hit the shelves. It feels all skeptical to what Mattew Vaughn is cooking, but the star-studded cast might have something promising to offer.
