“Holding On For A Little Bit Longer”: Pete Davidson Reveals There’s One Drug He Just Can’t Quit Even After Rehab

Drug abuse in Hollywood has become a norm over the past few years. While many actors, singers and other professionals from the fraternity have come forward with their struggle with drug abuse, it remains persistent in the industry. One such celebrity who’s quite open about his struggles with addiction is Pete Davidson.

Though he is getting better, he hasn’t exactly fully let go of his addiction. He even sought help by checking himself into a rehabilitation center back in 2023. Though it helped him let go of the harder drugs, Davidson recently revealed that there’s one substance he hasn’t fully stopped using. Here’s what he said.

After checking himself into a rehabilitation center in June 2023 due to mental health issues that led to drug abuse, Pete Davidson recently revealed to the audience that although he has stopped using hard drugs like Cocaine and Ketamine, he still hasn’t quite put a halt to smoking marijuana.

“I can’t quit yet. It’s all I have left. I did coke and ketamine and f**king all the pills and all that s**t. All I have is weed left, so it’s almost over, but I’m holding on for a little bit longer,” Davidson revealed while speaking at his standup comedy show on 20 July in Atlantic City.

The comedian has always been open about his struggle with drug abuse and the efforts he is putting in to fight it. He had checked into rehab after dealing with PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder as diagnosed by his psychiatrist. This came shortly after he was charged with reckless driving.

In March 2023, the ‘Saturday Night’ alum had crashed his car into a Beverly Hills home and was charged with reckless driving. His girlfriend at the time, Chase Sui Wonders, was also in the vehicle.

Though the police noted no substance was involved, Pete was ordered to do community service for 50 hours and enter an 18-month diversion program. Davidson recently opened up about this incident during the same show in Atlantic City, stating that he wasn’t able to spot the stop sign on time and ran his car into a fire hydrant in order to avoid running into a person.

“I saw the house and I was like, I don’t think you could die if you hit a house. Usually in sitcoms they just go right through it,” he recalled. “So, I swerved and I aimed for the house and I actually hit the garage pretty good. Even at my worst, I’m pretty f**king spot on.”

He also revealed that he was scared he’d go to jail. “The cop came, and he was all pissed because I drove into a structure. I was freaking out, and I had to calm myself down,” he said. It was shortly after this that he decided to get admitted into a rehabilitation center to cure his drug addiction.
