Elon Musk has taken over the internet with yet another new tweet. This time, the Tesla CEO claims that usage of the micro-blogging site has been at an all-time high, since his takeover. Well, it will be when half of the usage is provided by the man himself! He also comments that he “hopes the servers don’t melt down.”
Ever since the finalization of Twitter’s takeover by Elon Musk this October, he has been in a buzz over the internet. His tweets have become almost a daily thing now, with fans and critics both in high numbers. However, his tries to revamp Twitter have been taken mostly negatively so far.
Elon Musk On Twitter’s High Usage
The new chief executive of Twitter, Elon Musk commented on Monday that Twitter usage has been exploding since his takeover. “Twitter usage is at an all-time high lol,” Musk tweeted. He also commented further that he hopes the servers don’t melt. This was followed by Twitter’s sales team claiming that its monetizable daily user (mDAU) growth has shot up over 20% since Musk’s takeover.
According to The Verge, as mentioned in the internal FAQs, Twitter has added more than 15 billion mDAUs, crossing the quarter-billion mark. These numbers are said to be in stark contrast to initial expectations that the followers would leave once Musk takes over. The hate-ridden speech was also expected to rise, however, the number stays within historical norms.

Is It All Good News On Twitter?
The microblogging site’s monetizable daily user growth has grown more than 20% since last year. However, it has not been all good news on Twitter. The company has laid off thousands of employees so far. It has been losing more and more advertisers per day, with concerns over the platform’s new leadership.
While more than 1.3 million users have left the platform so far. Many more accounts have also been suspended and others have left on their account too. This includes actors and celebrities who changed their names to ‘Elon Musk” on Twitter. Musk mentioned previously that any handle engaging in impersonation without specifying ‘parody’ will be suspended permanently.
