Almost after eight years Halle Berry and Oliver Martinez’s divorce settlement has been finalized and have finally reached a child support agreement. Movie star Berry and French actor Martinez filed for divorce in 2015 after just over two years of marriage, but legal proceedings stretched for more than seven years.
During the time of the divorce, the pair released a statement explaining their decision: “It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce. We move forward with love and respect for one another and a shared focus on what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life and we hope that you respect our and, most importantly, our children’s privacy as we go through this difficult period.”

Halle Berry’s Divorce Gets Finalized, Court Orders Her To Pay Alimony And Child Support
The ex-couple will share joint legal and physical custody of their nine-year-old son, Maceo according to the court documents obtained by CNN. According to USA Today, Halle Berry will pay her ex-husband 4.3% of any annual income she makes above $2 million, $8,000 a month in child support, and will pay for their son’s private school tuition, extracurricular activities, health insurance, and therapist.
For the custody agreement, it seems the ex-couple has worked out a schedule that gives half of the week, Monday to Wednesday, to one parent and the other half of the week, that is Wednesday to Friday to the other, with alternating weekends. Time is also set aside to “make up time” if work commitments create any inconvenience.

How Many Times Has The Actress Been Divorced?
Halle Berry is not new to the entire divorce proceedings. It is indeed her third divorce and fourth high-profile split. Berry was previously married to baseball player David Justice from 1993 to 1997 and musician Eric Benet from 2001 to 2005. She then started dating French model Gabriel Aubry in 2005, sadly that relationship ended in 2010. But Berry and Aubry fought over custody until they reached an “amicable settlement” in late 2012, shortly after he was arrested for allegedly brawling with Oliver Martinez that Thanksgiving.
Just after her split from Aubry, the actress met Oliver Martinez while filming the adventure drama ‘Dark Tide’ in mid-2010, and soon the couple went public, which was unacceptable to her ex. In 2013, the couple tied the knot in France and just a few months later they confirmed that they were having a baby. Soon during the following October, the couple welcomed Maceo.
