Dave Bautista Compares Dune’s Set To That Of Marvels
In a conversation with GameSpot, Dave Bautista compared his experiences working on two different sets with different filming processes, storytelling, and the atmosphere of the set. Bautista said, “I did seven films with Marvel, so my experience with them is different; every film was different. But there were a lot of times on the Marvel stuff where I had to perform it with tennis balls, a lot of green screen, a lot of imaginary stuff. This wasn’t every film, it wasn’t every experience I had, but a lot of the times it was.”
Dave Bautista was glad that he did not have to shoot with imaginary or CGI characters. The actor further added, “And with Dune, the world’s been created for us, a lot of practical sets. And so it wasn’t that I had to depend so much on my imagination. They made it very easy for me, made it very real for me with practical sets and incredible actors.”
Dave Bautista felt that the sets of Dune were much more practical than those of Marvel because while shooting for the latter, he had to depend on lot of his imagination. But it makes sense as both the films share a different genre, generating a whole unique environment.
