Jeremy Renner, who plays ‘Hawkeye‘ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, did not have a good start to the new year. On 1st January 2023, Renner went through a huge accident that caused him major injuries. The accident was caused by a snow plow that weighed over 14,000 lbs.
Since then, Jeremy has been in the hospital and has been going through many surgeries. As he rests in a critical condition, friends and family pray for his recovery. He also received wishes from his co-stars on his 52nd birthday, just a few days earlier.

Is Jeremy Renner Going To Lose His Leg?
Following the accident, Jeremy Renner was in extremely critical condition. The 14,330 lbs. snow plow went over his leg and also crushed his chest. He has had two chest surgeries so far and will be needing further surgeries on his leg. A friend of his revealed to Radar Online, that his condition is much worse than anyone could imagine.
He also said that Jeremy could take up to “two years” to recover properly. His chest got crushed and his torso collapsed. He had extreme injuries to his leg, and his family is worried that he will be crippled forever. Discussions of a leg amputation have also been going around, with Jeremy even losing a leg.

Following his accident on 1st January 2023, and after going through a couple of surgeries, Renner seems to be in a better condition. Although better, his condition is still not stable and several surgeries still await him. Amongst this, however, Renner made sure to update his fans about of status.
On 3rd January 2023, Jeremy updated his fans by uploading a picture of himself in the hospital. He wrote in the caption, “Thank you all for your kind words. I’m too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”
