The R-rated comedy marks a new beginning for the Oscar-winning actress. However, she recently discussed dropping everything to play Katniss in ‘The Hunger Games’ franchise. At 20, Lawrence was cast as Katniss Everdeen, the tribute from District 12, who becomes a symbol of hope for the pressed.

Jennifer Lawrence No Longer Interesting In Film Direction

Jennifer Lawrence no longer wants to direct. The ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actress was attached to the direct ‘Operation Delirium’ based on The New Yorker articles. Having given birth, she finds herself too exhausted to take on more responsibilities on a film set. She’s also staying in the present, enjoying every moment with her family.  

Jennifer Lawrence told GMA that ‘No Hard Feelings’ was the perfect project to return to. She also praised her co-star Andrew Barth Feldman, saying, “We just wouldn’t have made the movie if we couldn’t find the right Percy, and we auditioned some great actors. And it was just immediate. He’s so smart and cool and dialed. And he put off going to Harvard to do this movie, very Percy like.”

Here’s news that will perk up ‘The Hunger Games’ fandom! Jennifer Lawrence may be in her comedy era with ‘No Hard Feelings,’ but she hasn’t closed the door on the beloved YA franchise. She played Katniss Everdeen in ‘The Hunger Games,’ ‘Catching Fire,’ ‘Mockingjay – Part 1,’ and ‘Mockingjay – Part 2.’

While promoting her R-rated comedy ‘No Hard Feelings,’ she expressed her excitement to Variety about taking up the bow and arrow if the call comes. She told the outlet, “Oh, my God – totally! If Katniss ever could ever come back into my life, 100%.” While that may take some time, the franchise is moving forward with the upcoming prequel, ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.’
