In a recent interview, Miranda recalled her meeting with the world-famous personality Yogi Gurmukh. It was her dream come true to meet her as mediation and yoga has played an important role in her well-being. Here’s what she said about the yoga guru.
Miranda Keer Was Flabbergasted To See Yogi Gurmukh
Miranda Kerr exclusively told the latest issue of Us Weekly that she was in awe of Yogi Gurumukh after she first met her. “My most starstruck moment was the first time I met Gurmukh,” she said. “She brought Kundalini yoga to the western world. I’ve practiced Kundalini yoga since I was 17 years old, and it was a dream to meet her and do Kundalini yoga together,” she added.
Gurmukh aka Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa is a pioneer of Kalindi yoga and offers spiritual focus with physical postures and poses in practice. The Guru was known for her celebrity clientele in the early aughts including Demi Moore, Courtney Love, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
“[Kundalini yoga] is a science that can bring you to your own better health, more happiness, and more wholeness and it works”, Gurmukh told Us Magazine in 2019. “People leave my classes feeling peaceful, happy, light and are laughing and carrying on,” she added.

Miranda Kerr Says Mediation Has Became An Important Ritual Of Her Life
Miranda Kerr also opened about her daily meditation habits and the importance they hold in their life. The ‘Runway‘ star explained, “I’ve been meditating daily for over 20 years. It’s one of the first things I do in the morning and one of the last things I do at night.
She added, “I learned and often do TM meditation [Transcendental Meditation], or sometimes I will use the Insight Timer app for guided meditations.”
Miranda has attained great success in her career in Hollywood and modeling but it’s the health and wellness-related stuff that attracts her more. She continued, “For an alternate profession, I’d still be doing something health and wellness-related. I’ve always been fascinated by psychology and nutrition, and how the mind and body are so connected.”
