On February 1, 2004, Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake were performing during the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show. At one moment, Justin removed a piece of cloth from her outfit, which exposed her breast.

It was visible in public for nearly half a second before Janet covered it. The incident was called nipple gate and created an uproar around indecency on broadcast and media.

They were like, ‘Did you see the halftime show?’ and I said, ‘Nah, I didn’t see anything“, he said. “I think, in the end, it was probably a good thing for the NFL because everyone got to talk about it, and it was just more publicity and more publicity for halftime shows,” Brady added.
