Since the past few days, James Gunn has been surrounded by a major controversy. The filmmaker has been criticized for some comments he made about Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies. Netizens have blasted him for calling the films boring and even saying that “Nolan’s ‘Batman Begins’ isn’t even good”.

As per a The Direct report, James Gunn has now deleted his Facebook account to stop his old comments from being scoured and resurfaced. The filmmaker has not yet commented on the controversial Batman comments from 11 years ago that have gone viral. Gunn said that “Michael Keaton’s Batman had a ridiculous voice” adding that “Tim Burton’s Batman was poorly written and one of the most boring films ever”. He even blasted Jack Nicholson’s version of Joker. Gunn wrote, “F*** you, everyone involved in that travesty“.

‘The Guardians of the Galaxy’ director even criticized Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dark Knight trilogy‘. Gunn wrote, “I have problems with both of Nolan’s films, don’t think either one is classic, and I don’t even really think Batman Begins is good.”

The director’s personal Facebook account went down recently, resulting in the link to his page now showing the users a content-deleted message. However, Gunn’s Facebook page is still active. Finally, the director broke the silence to this speculation via Instagram, revealing that someone attempted to access his account, prompting Facebook to hide his account from public view until he secures it.

‘The Suicide Squad’ director also addressed the media rumors surrounding the deactivation while acknowledging that he isn’t able to reaccess his account due to how long it has been since he last used it. He said, “What happens… and then the broad assumptions made by certain sites. I haven’t been on FB in so long I don’t even know how to answer the questions to get back on.”
