A cult classic superhero, John Constantine, will be back on big screens. Besides Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves is a well-known action star in Hollywood. And now, James Gunn has come with a surprise for all the DCU fans with the ‘John Wick‘ actor.
James Gun’s new DC slate, ‘Constantine 2’ has been generating a lot of buzz among fans. The cult classic superhero film centers around a sinister conspiracy that poses a threat to the entire world. Reeves’s character John Constantine is an occult and exorcist detective, who can travel Earth and Hell.

Will Keanu Reeves Be Heading DC’s ‘Constantine 2’?
Despite a lot of changes to the DC’s superhero schedule, ‘Constantine 2’ has not been canceled. Fueling the excitement, Keanu Reeves will be playing the role of the magic-wielding exorcist detective for the second time. Reeves previously claimed that he talked about ‘Constantine 2’ with DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn.
‘Constantine 2’ officially started development back in 2022 September. The project will be helmed by Francis Lawrence who previously directed ‘Constantine’. A fan asked on Reddit, “Have you spoken with James Gunn at all in regards to Constantine 2? Hope we get to see it”. To which the Matrix actor replied, “Yes, and me too”.

What Will ‘Constantine 2’ Be About?
Loosely based on the Hellblazer comic books, Constantine is one of the most underrated DC movies of all time. Nearly after 18 years, the sequel will be hitting the big screens. Currently, the plot for ‘Constantine 2’ is being kept under wraps. Also, the release date of the film is not yet released hoping to be anytime soon.
The story of Constantine is no different from any other superhero story. It revolves around the hero who saves the world from an inferno which ultimately leads to battles between Constantine, Lucifer, demons, anti-Christ Mammon and also archangel Gabriel. However, Constantine ends with Gabriel intruding Mammon’s plan. Finally, the religious magician summons Lucifer who put his son back in his place resulting in the world being saved from hellfire.
