Jason Momoa Gives A Surprising Update About ‘Fast & Furious 11’

Though Jason Momoa is best known for his role as ‘Aquaman‘, he has also managed to capture hearts with his roles in other productions like ‘Game of Thrones‘ and ‘Fast X‘. His character in ‘Fast X‘, Dante Reyes is the antagonist and many still loved him for the signature charm he retained in the movie.

Speaking about the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise, Momoa has given an update on its highly anticipated  11th part. It is however not a matter of delight, though fans are drawing a variety of conclusions from the news he gave. In a recent interview, the actor said that he has not yet received a script for the upcoming movie.

Jason Momoa Has Not Received The Script For ‘Fast & Furious 11’ Yet

Jason Momoa was speaking during an interview with Variety, when he revealed that despite the announcement by Vin Diesel about Fast 11 coming next year, he hasn’t seen a script for the film. However, he also said that he has put forward his ideas for the movie and is waiting to see how they will be incorporated.

Momoa said he is excited about the prospect of playing the villain once again, adding that he enjoys playing such characters.

Fast & Furious 11′ was initially planned as a two-part grand finale to the franchise. The first part of the two,Fast X’, was released last year. The production of the 11th part was initially believed to be underway and the release date was initially set for April 4, 2025. But Universal later requested a new draft for the film leading to potential changes in the release date.

Meanwhile, in a different twist, Director Louis Leterrier hinted at a major character switch for Momoa’s Dante Reyes. He had said that he wished to explore something new that hadn’t been done before. He did not delve into the further details of this change.

As of now, there’s no official update regarding the cast of ‘Fast & Furious 11′. However, the key cast members, including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Sung Kang, are likely to be retained. Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, and possibly Eva Mendes might also reprise their roles.
