It was for her role in the 2014 feature ‘August: Osage County‘ that Julia Roberts was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress category at the Oscars. However, changing her character in the movie was not easy for her. She feels like she has been a terrible costar throughout the movie. In the movie, Julia Roberts acted alongside Meryl Streep and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Starring opposite Meryl Streep had been an honor for the actress. However, in her interview with the Telegraph, the actress recounted her dismay at her role and attacked Streep’s character. “Attacking her physically was… just… awful. I felt like a terrible person who would truly go to hell. I might actually go to hell now, I’ve attacked her so many times,” she confessed.

Julia Roberts Had To Choke Meryl Streep For The Role
‘August: Osage County’ is a movie Julia Roberts signed up for despite her family commitments. She felt that the role challenged her. “So a piece like this was a dream come true,” the actress had recounted.
But due to her character in the movie, Roberts found herself doing things she found difficult to perform, especially her scenes with Streep. “Choking her, and things like that, were not how I pictured it going in my mind all these years. I thought we’d be together, having tea and speaking in fabulous accents all dressed up,” the actress said.
