‘Loot’ Trailer: Maya Rudolph Plays Billionaire’s Ex-Wife Who Is Looking For A Purpose On Apple TV+ Comedy

Molly, a fabulous super-rich spouse, enjoys the lavish lifestyle alongside her tech executive hubby, portrayed by Adam Scott, in Apple TV+’s new workplace comedy, ‘Loot’. For her birthday, he buys her a yacht so enormous that they will need a big boat to get there. In the aftermath of her finding that her hubby is enjoying an adulterous relationship with a younger woman, Molly is forced to face the idea of life without him.

Maya Rudolph commented on her role and the show’s message in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. She said: “I think it’s really important that we tell stories about complex women, and that we don’t always portray them as victims or as someone who is sort of out of their depth. These are strong women who are questioning the status quo and fighting for change.”

In a recent interview, Rudolph talked about playing this unique character, her love of comedy, and what it was like to work on such an ambitious project. “I’ve always loved playing somebody who is more than just the average person,” Rudolph said. “This is a woman who’s really been through the wringer and still has some fight left in her.”
