Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s production company, Artists Equity, is set to bring to screens the thriller starring them. The film is slated to start filming this fall. While the specifics of the plot are tightly under wraps, ‘RIP’ is billed as a crime thriller, a genre both Damon and Affleck have quite a great reputation in.

The project has already piqued the interest of both theatrical and streaming platforms, and a distribution deal is also anticipated soon. Since the inception of the film in November 2022, Artists Equity has made significant strides. Their debut film ‘Air’ released in spring 2023 has garnered critical acclaim and performed well at the box office.

After the success of the film, the company produced the documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told’ based on Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s troubled love story for Amazon MGM Studios. It also followed the drama ‘Small Things Like These’, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival.

Though its idea found roots in September 2022, the inception of ‘RIP’ has came together rapidly in recent weeks. While Ben Affleck is fresh off finishing production on ‘The Accountant’ 2, Matt Damon is eager to find a new venture under their company banner.

Their earlier attempt at a crime thriller ‘Animals’ was shelved due to scheduling conflicts with Affleck’s commitments to ‘The Accountant’ sequel. Joining the two for ‘RIP‘ would be Joe Carnahan, who is also no stranger to the crime thriller genre with hits like ‘Narc and Smokin’ Aces’.

With Damon and Affleck on board, audiences can anticipate a thrilling and action-packed experience. Fans now await more details about ‘RIP’ to Emerge.
