Over the past few years, the lives of musicians have been adapted to the screen successfully. And surprisingly most of these have received a very good box office collection and nominations for various Academy Awards. With Michael Jackson‘s life being adapted on screen as ‘Michael‘, there is much anticipation among the audience.
It was ‘Bohemian Rhapsody‘ in 2018 that started the trend of depicting singers’ lives through reels. The movie created quite a wave, leading Rami Malek, who portrayed Freddie Mercury, to win the Oscar for Best Actor. Then ‘The Rocketman‘ from 2019 depicted the life of Elton John. And the latest was Elvis which was a hit and even received Academy nods. Thus ‘Michael’ is set with high hopes.

Antoine Fuqua On Michael Jackson’s Biopic
The director of the upcoming biopic ‘Michael‘, Antoine Fuqua was recently talking with Good Morning America about the upcoming release of his film ‘The Equalizer 3‘. That is when Fuqua addressed how promisingly the late singer Michael Jackson‘s life would be portrayed on screen. And he said that everything from good to bad will become subjects in the biopic.
“He was a great artist. He was human. We’re gonna show the good, bad, and the ugly. We’re just going to tell Michael based on the facts that I have. Me and Graham King, the producer of Bohemian Rhapsody, we’re going to tell the facts that we have, and it’s for the audience to make a decision on how they feel about Michael, but we’re going to tell the facts as we know it,” Fuqua explained.

All About The Upcoming Biopic ‘Michael’
In collaboration with the Oscar-winning producer Graham King, Antoine Fuqua was to start his work on the biopic ‘Michael’ in early 2023. And it is Jaafar Jackson, the artist’s real-life nephew who was set to become the lead in the movie. The filming is tentatively set to begin later in the year.
However, the subject of biopics is going to be much more difficult to handle. Jackson has been part of many accusations including one about him sexually abusing multiple children at his home, the Neverland Ranch. In addition, many other controversies also add to the risks of the film.
