The frontrunner of Jonas Brothers, Joe Jonas, and ‘Game of Thrones’ actress Sophie Turner have joined the Hollywood divorce circuit. The pair broke silence on Wednesday, releasing a joint statement regarding their divorce. The statement read, “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
However, it did not take too long for news of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce to turn ugly. Amidst his divorce proceedings from Turner, the singer is under speculations about his commitment to the purity rings because of the allegations from the Nickelodeon alum Alexa Nikolas.
Alexa Nikolas Claims Joe Jonas Asked For Her Explicit Pictures
The Jonas Brothers famously wore the purity rings when they first stepped into the limelight. And since then this became the talking point for the band. Amidst Joe Jonas’ recent divorce proceedings, the Nickelodeon alum Alexa Nikolas claimed that Joe asked her for “nudes” when they were both teenagers.
The former ‘Zoey 101’ star took to X, previously called Twitter on Friday that the ‘Cake By The Ocean’ singer allegedly sought out the explicit photos despite maintaining a very wholesome public persona at the time. Nikolas said, “I met Joe Jonas when we were teens and let’s just say he’s the guy who wore a purity ring but asked for nudes.”

Joe Jonas Lost His Virginity Way Before He Took Off His Purity Ring
Surprisingly Alexa Nikolas isn’t the first person to expose that Joe Jonas was sexually active in his teenage years despite wearing the symbolic jewelry. In 2021, on ‘Jonas Brothers Family Roast’, the singer’s soon-to-be ex-wife Sophie Turner joked that “he wasn’t just sticking his fingers in some dumb metal rings. He was sticking his fingers in co-stars, actresses, and even a supermodel or two. The rings weren’t a good idea.”
Ironically Joe admitted that “he had actually lost his virginity when he was 20, just a few years before the band publicly took off the rings in 2013”. He told the New York Magazine, “We decided to take the rings off a few years ago. I lost my virginity when I was 20. I did other stuff before then, but I was sexually active at 20. I’m glad I waited for the right person because you look back and you go, ‘That girl was bats–t crazy. I’m glad I didn’t go there.”
