Nicki Minaj’s Cryptic Message Sets Social Media Abuzz
Nicki Minaj took to X to post a rather cryptic message on Monday. In the post, the 41-year-old rapper is seen showing off a Dolce and Gabbana dress she wore during a stop in Paris, France while on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. However, it’s the caption of the post that caught fans’ eyes. “Yes Single …,” she wrote in the caption, leaving fans wondering what it means.

The message has left fans guessing whether Minaj is hinting at a new single or possibly giving an update on her relationship status. Minaj got married to her high school sweetheart Kenneth Petty in October 2019, and the couple also share a 3-year-old son.
Petty, however, has a criminal record, which Minaj has frequently defended him against on social media. In 1994, Petty was charged with first-degree rape after a 16-year-old girl reported he raped her at knifepoint. Petty was also 16 at the time and initially denied the allegations.
However, he later pleaded guilty to attempted rape and served over four years in prison, registering as a sex offender.

Is Nicki Minaj Getting Separated From Her Husband Kenneth Petty?
Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty also has several other criminal records under his name. In 2019, he was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California after moving from New York. He was released on a $20,000 bond.
In July 2022 again, he was sentenced to a year of house arrest, three years of probation, and a $55,000 fine. Recently, he was granted permission to travel internationally while on probation. Despite his flaws, Minaj has stood by his side and fought trolls on social media spewing hatred for him.
However, her cryptic post has stirred reactions from fans online. Some are seemingly happy that she would finally be getting separated from a man with such a problematic partner, some others have expressed concerns about her love life.
“Nicki is dropping a new single or is single, we won either way,” a user wrote on X, while another clarified, “She literally just announced ‘Pink Friday Girls’ as the next single. How slow are y’all?” Minaj has not yet clarified what her post means, leaving fans wondering.
