‘One Tree Hill’ actress Bevin Prince’s husband William Friend tragically lost his life on Sunday after he was struck by lightning. He was 33. Authorities found Friend on a boat after he had been struck by lightning during a storm.
Witnesses flagged him down at Masonboro Island off the coast of Wilmington, North Carolina. The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office and Wilmington Police Department’s Marine Unit arrived on location, but couldn’t do anything for Friend.

Bevin Prince’s Closest Friend Confirms The Sad News With A Tribute
Willian Friend was the Bisnow CEO. He was given CPR and taken to the Bradley Creek Marina to meet an Electro Muscle Stimulation team. They tried to revive him for 20 minutes, but unfortunately, he was identified as deceased.
Odette Annable, Bevin Prince’s closest friend, paid homage to Friend on Instagram on Wednesday in the wake of the horrific tragedy. “Will, it feels surreal writing this, mostly because it feels like you were just getting started. The life and love that you gave to my best friend made it feel okay that we were thousands of miles apart,” the actress wrote.
Annable continued by describing the “gift” he bestowed upon everyone who had the opportunity to “witness the passion that burned” within him. His passion, according to her, served as his motivation to “help people, build [his] business, and find happiness.”

The British entrepreneur was further described by the “Unborn” actress as enthusiastic and perfect in every way. She also wrote about how heartbroken his wife Bevin Prince is. “Being here with Bevin, hearing her share stories about you and your love breaks my heart for her, because she lost the love of her life and the world lost a really really good one,” she added.
Annable included a GoFundMe link for people who might want to send money in place of flowers to two charities that were important to Friend.
Prince and Friend got married in 2016. They relocated to Wrightsville Beach to be nearer to their families in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak. She started Recess by Bevin Prince with her husband in 2019 and is currently a fitness trainer there.
