Cabello, 27, and Mendes, 25, sat side-by-side and chatted as they took part in the game at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, per fan footage shared via X.
Fans are wondering what this means. Is the couple back together again or are they just catching up as friends? The singers dated for two years from July 2019 to November 2021, and briefly reignited their romance before splitting up for the second time in June 2023.
In an interview with the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast in March, Cabello discussed her getting together with Shawn for the second time and acknowledged that “it didn’t feel right.”: “Luckily, I was in a place in my life where it took me less time to realize that. It took us both less time to be like, ‘This doesn’t feel right, and we really don’t need to try so hard to make it work,’” Cabello said.

How Did Shawn Mendes And Camila Cabello’s Relationship Start?
Having been close friends for a long time, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello first crossed paths at the Austin Mahone tour in 2014. They also later discussed their first impressions of each other with V Magazine in 2019.
The duo dropped their first song ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer‘ together in November 2015 which sparked dating rumors. “We were just backstage hanging out,” Mendes told Rolling Stone of how they wrote the song while on Taylor Swift’s 1989 tour. “I pulled out my guitar and we were just messing around, not really thinking about writing a song,” he said.
This was followed by Shawn and Camila gushing about each other during the famous interview on ‘The Late Late Show’ with James Corden which caused a frenzy among fans.
In 2017, Cabello and Mendes posted a video of themselves covering Ed Sheeran’s song ‘Kiss Me‘, which heightened the degree of excitement among fans. Then in April 2018, during an interview with Beats 1, Mendes called Cabello his “favorite person in the whole world.”
“I don’t think you’ll ever meet somebody who can feel emotion like her, in all aspects,” he continued. “She can feel hurt like no other, but she can feel love like no other.”
Fast forward to December 2018, fans were thrilled as Cabello hinted at a possible collaboration by posting a photo of herself (with a guitar) and Mendes sitting on the floor. “Canadian fury + Latin sass,” she wrote in the caption.
The trajectory of their relationship in the public eye changed with the release of their collaborative song ‘Señorita‘ in June 2019.
