The Drake and Kendrick Lamar rap battle blew up the headlines while it was in full flames. But it seems that the rapper still hasn’t entirely let off the steam. For the fans who may have been missing all the drama, there’s good news.
In a recent interview, Drake has seemingly taken yet another jab at his arch-enemy Kendrick Lamar in what was his first public appearance after the rap beef unfolded. Here’s what the ‘Hotline Bling‘ singer has said.
What Was The Beef Between Drake And Kendrick Lamar About?
The most epic rap battle of recent times went down earlier this year between hip-hop greats Drake and Kendrick Lamar. It all started when J. Cole threw out a loose ‘Big Three‘ reference and somehow precipitated an all-out lyrical beef between the two rap titans. And while Kendrick scored a solid win with the track ‘Not Like Us‘ and an arrogant show stopper on LA’s The Pop Out concert, Drake has kept an otherwise low profile since the smoke settled.

But all of that changed when the Canadian rapper popped back up recently, streaming alongside fellow countryman and internet star, xQc. In his first high-profile appearance since the feud, Drake’s words instantly grabbed attention, and it seemed like he couldn’t help but take yet another jab at his rival, Kendrick.
In seated solidarity with xQc, Drake opened with an easy introduction. “I’m Drake, this is xQc, real streaming legend. Me, I do music, in case you don’t know.” It was what followed that had hip-hop on the whole internet buzzing. “I’m here,” he said. “Full intact, mind, body, and soul, in case you were wondering. You need facts to take me out, fairytales won’t do it.”
Fans Are Excited As Drake Throws Shade At Kendrick Lamar Yet Again
While Drake did not throw out any names, fans couldn’t help but read between the lines, with many speculating that this comment came straight out at Kendrick Lamar. Indeed, this was one of his first appearances in the public eye since Kendrick released his last album, ‘GNX‘, which has been spreading like wildfire across social media from its lyrics to its unexpected condiment-related references.

xQc didn’t push for more, but Drake later doubled down. “Nothing makes me uncomfortable,” he said. “I’ve worked too hard to be uncomfortable. Nothing phases me, like I said, it takes only facts to fold me, fairytales don’t work,” he added.
So it seems that the feud may not be over just yet, and fans are eager to see how Lamar responds to Drake’s statement.
