Vin Diesel is the most recent addition to the list of top-brass Hollywood actors who are facing #MeToo allegations. The ‘Fast and Furious‘ actor has been sued by his former assistant Asta Jonasson, claiming that she was sexually assaulted by the actor in 2010.
In her lawsuit, Asta has claimed that she was hired as Diesel’s assistant when he was shooting for ‘Fast and Furious 5‘ in Georgia in 2010. The woman claimed that the actor forced himself on her without her consent, performed lewd sexual activities in front of her, and then fired her.
“This Is The First That He Has Ever Heard About It,” Says Vin Diesel’s Lawyer
In the lawsuit that Jonasson filed in Los Angeles on Thursday, the woman has alleged that Diesel forcibly groped and kissed her in his hotel suite in Atlanta. The actor’s legal representatives have now reportedly denied the allegations, stating that the claims are baseless.
“Vin categorically denies this claim in its entirety,” Diesel’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. “This is the first he has ever heard about this more than 13-year-old claim made by a purportedly nine-day employee. There is clear evidence which completely refutes her outlandish allegations,” the lawyer said.
According to court documents, Jonasson has provided graphic details of the assault, narrating how Diesel first pinned her against a wall in his underwear and then tried to pull down her underpants. As she resisted, the actor then forcibly took her hand and placed it on his private parts.

Detailing her ordeal further, Jonasson claims the actor masturbated while still leaning against her. Hours after the assault, Diesel’s sister told Jonasson she was fired without giving any concrete reason.
Asta asserts that she remained quiet about her assault for years, fearing Diesel’s influence in Hollywood and concerns over her immigration status. She said she felt empowered to come forward and speak out in the wake of the #MeToo movement.
Along with Diesel, the lawsuit has also named his sister Samantha Vincent, and the production company One Race Films that hired her. Other than sexual battery, Jonassoon has also alleged wrongful termination and a hostile work environment.
Fans worldwide reacted to the allegations on social media. Some expressed disbelief at the allegations, while others were disappointed to see the actor on the list of alleged sexual predators in Hollywood.
