The death of Matthew Perry was a hard blow for all the fans and people who knew him personally. He was much more than the ‘Friends’ character Chander Bing, Perry wished to help anyone who would struggle with substance abuse.
Matthew Perry served his lifetime making sure that the others who walked down the same path as him, does not suffer like he did. Perry’s colleagues had nothing about sincere gratitude and kind words, adoring the gem of a person the world lost on 28 October.
Sarah Paulson Recalls The Time Matthew Perry Helped Her
Sarah Paulson recently shared a story of how Matthew Perry helped her during desperate times. Perry assisted her in landing a part on their 2006-2007 TV series ‘Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip’. During an appearance on The View, the ‘American Horror Story’ actress shared a fond memory of the late ‘Friends’ star saying, “I just remember him as one of the most generous people on the planet. I was at a particular place in my career where I needed that job very desperately.”
Paulson recalled, “He asked me to meet him in the parking lot for my final audition.I got in his car and he ran the whole scene with me multiple times so that I could have a leg up on the other performer. And I did get the job. So, I sort of credit him with taking that extra time, and he absolutely did not need to do that.”

Matthew Perry Will Still Be Alive Because Of This
It is no secret that the ‘Friends’ star struggled with addiction and people close to him have witnessed the struggles and supported him during his recovery. Jennifer Aniston broke down during an interview recalling the horrible day Perry went through and hoping he would get well soon.
Even in his memoir, Perry mentioned that he never wanted to be remembered for his contribution to ‘Friends’ instead he always wanted to be remembered for his for helping people get over their addiction. Perry was planning to create a foundation before his sudden death at the early age of 54. And now his friends are launching a foundation in the actor’s name titled The Matthew Perry Foundation, to help those suffering from addiction.
