Stephen Colbert and Pedro Pascal gave fans one of the most fun moments from ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert‘ when their interview quickly turned into chaos.

It seemed like Pascal came in ready to join Colbert’s on-camera kissing joke, and before long, the two had shared a kiss, poured tequila, and made the whole segment feel like a wild little party.

Pascal wasted no time when he sat down with Stephen Colbert on ‘The Late Show‘. The ‘Last of Us‘ star pointed to his lips right away, making it clear that he wanted to be part of the joke. Colbert had already kissed Julia Louis-Dreyfus earlier in the episode, and Pascal clearly wanted his turn.

The two then shared a kiss, and the audience got another playful moment in what had already become a very lively episode. Pascal explained the moment with a simple joke. “I got jealous,” he said. Colbert quickly played along and replied, “No need! Anytime. These lips will soon be free.”

The kiss came after a funny moment from the previous night. Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver, and Seth Meyers had appeared on ‘The Late Show‘, and Colbert asked them, “Have you guys ever made out with a guest on camera?. Fallon then asked, “Why would you look at me like this?”.

To that, Colbert replied, “‘Cause I think you’ve made out with guests on camera.” Fallon answered, “No, I think you just want to make out with me. And Colbert then pulled him in for a kiss.

The interview did not slow down after the kiss. Instead, it became even more chaotic when Pascal asked whether he could drink on camera. Colbert responded by pouring out a healthy measure of tequila for his guest.

As Colbert poured the drink, he delivered one of the sharpest lines of the clip: “What are they going to do…cancel me?”. The joke worked because CBS had already announced the end of ‘The Late Show‘. It gave Colbert plenty of room to try some chaos during his final stretch.

Pascal and Colbert appeared fully committed to the bit. And the whole thing felt like a perfect continuation of the host’s penultimate week. With ‘The Late Show‘ nearing its end, Colbert seems determined to make his final days memorable. CBS announced last July that it would cancel the show, describing the move as a “financial decision.”

However, the cancellation sparked speculation because it came shortly after Colbert criticized Paramount over its controversial $16 million settlement with President Donald Trump. Colbert called the settlement a “big fat bribe. He also pointed out that Paramount was also seeking federal approval for its merger with Skydance Media at the time.

Still, Colbert already has another major project ahead. After ‘The Late Show‘, he will write a new ‘Lord of the Rings‘ film. Peter Jackson shared the surprise news in March in a video with Colbert, which is currently titled ‘The Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past‘.
