The reality TV star of ‘Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s’ was found guilty of killing his own nephew. The court charged Norman with exploiting the interstate commerce facilities to execute the murder-for-hire conspiracy. To execute it, he appointed a dancer named Terica Ellis from Memphis, Tennessee. Along with her, he paid Travell Anthony Hill to shoot Montgomery in March 2016. In July 2022, the court charged the conspirators guilty of their crime.

In addition, the release stated, “On the day of Montgomery’s death, Hill and Norman met in St. Louis and Norman told Hill that a woman would be calling with Montgomery’s location. After receiving a call from the woman, Terica Ellis, Hill fatally shot Montgomery with a .380-caliber handgun at 8:02 p.m. and then disposed of the gun and his phone. He paid him $5,000.”

The sole purpose of the crime was to procure insurance money from multiple policies that he got on Montgomery. Out of three policies, Americo Insurance Company had $250,000 and Foresters Insurance had two policies each of $200,000 and $250,000.

In 2020, Timothy’s friend Howard went into a cooperation clause with the government. Howard told the jury that he received a call from Tim to get $5K from his apartment at Chase Park Plaza. He said that he was asked to give the money to Travell. At 8:03 p.m., Derryl called Howard after hearing a gunshot, but he asked Derryl to go home and not to tell anyone. Timothy has denied all the allegations claiming to be a “father figure” to his nephew and also assisted him financially.

Tim’s attorney Leonard said that they were “extremely surprised and disappointed by the outcome.” Fleming added, “Tim is an amazingly optimistic and strong guy. So he’s been in custody for quite a long time already.”

He continued, “He had to sit through the deliberations by himself, and he’s a very strong person. And so I think he’s still, despite the verdict, has a lot of optimism that we’re going to overcome this and ultimately prevail.” His attorneys will challenge and further appeal the decisions.
