Kim Kardashian manages to garner some spotlight every now and then for one reason or another. The reality TV star is a mother and a businesswoman, apart from being the ex-wife of a highly controversial rapper Kanye West. So there’s always some sort of drama that the star constantly surrounds herself with.
Kim Kardashian also often falls prey to social media criticism. Netizens are slamming her yet again — this time for celebrating a happy moment in her son’s life. Kim Kardashian recently shared a video of her son Saint walking onto a soccer field while holding hands with legendary player Lionel Messi. It took no time for social media users to slam the model for showing off her child’s privilege.
“He Is Living The Absolute Dream!”: Kim Kardashian Beams With Joy For Her Son’s Fan Moment
Kim Kardashian’s 8-year-old son Saint probably had one of the greatest moments of his life as he walked into a soccer field with the legendary Lionel Messi. The boy was attending the match between Messi’s team, Inter Miami, and the L.A. Galaxy at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles on Sunday night with his mother.
Like any proud mother would do, Kim Kardashian got her son and Messi recorded on her phone camera and joyously posted the video on X. Expressing her excitement about the moment, Kim wrote, “Saint walking Messi out on the field tonight at the La Galaxy vs Inter Miami game!!! He is living the absolute dream!”
Kim also shared a photo on her Instagram Stories of Saint and a friend watching the game, thanking the L.A. Galaxy for “making all of their dreams come true.” However, not everyone shared Kardashian’s enthusiasm.

“What Money Can Buy”: Social Media Shows No Mercy For Saint West’s Video
Soon after Kim Kardashian’s video gained traction on social media, many users started criticizing the opportunity that her child seemingly had because of his privilege. “Talk about privilege. Hope he can kick the ball,” a social media user wrote.
“Would be awesome if some kid actually deserving of it got that opportunity. Not someone who was incredibly lucky to be born to billionaires,” another one chimed in. “What money can buy,” a third one added.
However, there were a few defenders too, who argued that any parent in a position to provide such an experience for their child would do the same. “People mad at this are pathetic. If you could do it for your kid, you all would if that’s what they wanted. Kim can, and she did,” a user wrote. Some others simply celebrated the kid’s great moment. “He is currently walking with living legend,” wrote another fan.
This is not the first time Kim’s son Saint has met Messi. In July 2023, Kardashian shared a picture of Saint with Messi after his Inter Miami debut, calling it the “Best day of their entire lives.” Kim has often encouraged her son’s sporting interests as she once took him to see a soccer match in London, and also celebrated his achievements in basketball.
