Julia Fox recently made a comeback to the headlines as she recently declared that she has been celibate for the past 2.5 years. The model revealed in an Instagram post that she has not had sex in the past 2.5 years, and has “never been happier“.
Speaking more about it recently, the model revealed that she decided to embrace celibacy as a personal protest against the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Julia Fox was speaking on ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen‘ on May 19, when the actress and model explained her choice. Here’s what she said.

Julia Fox Explains Why She Chose The Path Of Celibacy
Julia Fox elaborated upon her decision to stay celibate while speaking during a recent interview. She said the rather bold and unconventional choice is her way of reclaiming control in response to the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade. “Nothing good comes from having sex — including children,” she joked, before seriously elaborating on her stance.
“I think with the overturning of Roe v. Wade and our rights being stripped away from us, this is a way I can take back the control. It sucks that it has to be in that way, but I just don’t feel comfortable until things change,” Fox said.
She also contended that the period of celibacy that she had originally planned on adopting has extended far beyond her intentions. “It was six months, then it was a year, and then I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, it’s almost 2.5 years and it’s still going,’” she said, asserting that she doesn’t miss sex.
Fox, however, admitted that she Initially missed physical intimacy. But now “it’s just like getting over anything — smoking, drugs, whatever it may be. Eventually, you just forget and then all that energy that you were putting toward sex, you can put it toward other things.”

Julia Fox has had quite an active sexual and romantic life before she decided to choose the route of celibacy. She shares a three-year-old son, Valentino, with her ex-husband Peter Artemiev. Besides she also recently had her short but popular fling with controversial rapper Kanye West.
When Fox was asked about ways she fulfills her sexual needs as a celibate, she did not shy away from opening up. When the show host Andy Cohen asked if she resorts to masturbation to fulfill her needs frequently, Fox said it is not all that regular a habit of hers.
“Not as much as you would think. Maybe like once or twice a month. Sometimes I’ll start and then I get tired and lose interest. I’m just so tired all the time,” she admitted.
Fox first mentioned her celibacy publicly on May 11 in a TikTok comment, responding to criticism of Bumble’s new ad campaign. She wrote, “2.5 years of celibacy and never been better tbh,” under a post discussing the dating app’s billboard that suggested celibacy was not a solution to relationship issues.
